Dr S. Jagathrakshakan, the Founder Chairman of the Accord Group, was born on August 15, 1950, in Kalingamalai village, Villupuram District in Tamil Nadu. Our Fonder, who is the guiding force behind the eminence of the ‘Accord Group’, is an astute industrialist par excellence, a renowned philanthropist, erudite educationist, and an admirable religious scholar, all rolled into one.

He is the He was first represented in the Tamil Nadu State Assembly in 1980 and thrice in 1985, 1999 and 2009 in the Indian Parliament – Lok Sabha initially as the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and later the Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, from 2009 to 2013. During his reign, he has served and headed various sub-committees and the parliamentary delegations of the Lok Sabha.

He is married to Mrs. J. Anusuya, who holds Masters in Home Sciences from the Madras University. Mrs.Anusuya heads the Educational Trust as the Chairperson.

He is a recognized Tamil scholar and an authority on the Hindu Philosophy of Dualism (Vishitadwaitha) and has written many books on this subject; He has written a commentary on the 4000 hymns of the Vaishnavite Saints (Nalayira Divya Prabandham) which has been accepted as an authoritative text on the subject. He has also written more than 60 books on various aspects of Hindu Philosophy, one of which was released by Mother Theresa. He established a research organization called ‘AzhwarkalAaivuMaiyam’ dedicated to the research and propagation of the Philosophy of Duality in Vaishnavism and promotion of Tamil Language, Culture and Art.

His love for promotion and propagation of Tamil Language is fathomless, that he has been monetarily supporting the Tamil Language promotion for decades, now. He is a Philanthropic personality, well known in the State of Tamil Nadu, whose primary interests are educating the afflicted people, to aid women, orphans and differently abled. Our Founder Chairman is a benevolent donor to numerous Institutions and NGOs functioning for the poverty-stricken.
